The BTSD Foundation for Educational Excellence is a non-profit (501c3) organization that was created and is operated by a group of volunteers consisting of current and retired BTSD employees and has been in existence for more than 25 years. In that time, the Foundation has awarded over $300,000 in funding towards hundreds of projects designed and implemented by the District’s staff members. These projects have undoubtedly impacted and enriched the lives of thousands of Bristol Township students and offered them many unique opportunities and learning experiences outside of the standard curriculum. The Foundation utilizes several sources of funding including BTSD employee payroll contributions which account for nearly two-thirds of our annual revenue, corporate or private donations and fundraisers such as the annual Tiger Classic Race and Fun Run.

The Bristol Township School District Foundation for Educational Excellence is proud to announce the funding of 19 proposals for a total amount of $9,073. Additional resources were also secured for three grants through the other programs bringing the total number of 2016 Foundation Grants funded to 21 at $9,742. The amounts awarded range from $60 to $1,500 and will be used facilitate a wide variety of projects for the students at six of the District’s schools.

A few of this year’s funded grants include an Embryology Program for 2nd and 4th graders at Keystone Elementary School, a Science night for students at FDR Middle School, using drones and video at Truman High School, sensory items for students at Millcreek Elementary School, a school beautification at Neil Armstrong Middle School and many more.
