This is the image for the news article titled District Art Show Resumes In-PersonThe Bristol Township School District Art Show is returning in-person this May to Harry S. Truman High School. The district-wide event will be held May 18 and 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Truman’s former gymnasium. Community members are invited to attend the show for free.

“After the cancellation of the 2020 Art Show due to COVID and our online Art Show in 2021, we could not be more excited to have an in-person art show this year,” said Karen Bryceland, art teacher at Truman High School. “We enjoy the opportunity to meet the parents and celebrate the talents of our many students.”

The public will see a wide variety of K-12 student artwork including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and crafts.

“Students in Bristol Township’s art classes learn to be creative and have the opportunity for self-expression,” said Bryceland. “The arts help build mental focus and fine motor skills, and reduce stress.”

Taught by certified art teachers, students created all the 2D and 3D art featured in the show. Lessons in all art classes are aligned with the district’s art curriculum and Pennsylvania State Standards for the Arts and Humanities
