BTSD Offers Google Educator Training Course to Parents

To improve parents’ understanding of the programs their children use for school, Bristol Township School District is offering a grant-funded Google Educator training course. Please note, the program is at full capacity, but will be offered to parents again in the future.

The program, led by Google Trainers, consists of ten self-paced content modules, including independent application tasks, reading and discussion, and assessment, as well as live support with Google Certified Trainers. Each self-paced module includes approximately three hours of coursework for a total of 30 professional development hours. The course is designed to be flexible and allows for parents to complete the work at their own pace.

Module 2 | Switching to Paperless: Docs & Drive 
Module 3 | Switching to Paperless: Classroom & Forms 
Module 4 | Communicating through Google: Gmail, Translate, and GChat 
Module 5 | Communicating through Google: Google Sites 
Module 6 | Taking Meetings Online: Meets & Calendar 
Module 7 | Assigning & Assessing with Google Classroom 
Module 8 | Teaching Students Digital Self-Efficacy: Scholar & Chrome
Module 9 | Presentation Technologies: Google Slides & Integrated Tools 
Module 10 | Skill Application, Summative Reflection, Pretest 

 Parents who were interested in enrolling expressed interest on Google Form and the program was filled at 119 participants. The opportunity is at no cost to parents and will be offered again in the future.
