Kitchenman Moves to Assistant Business Manager Position

Amber Kitchenman, currently an Assistant Principal at Truman High School, has been appointed to the role of Assistant Business Manager for the school district starting July 1, 2024. In her new position, Kitchenman will become a key part of Business Manager/CFO John Scavelli's team.

Kitchenman, who has been with the school district since 2021, brings an impressive background of educational and mathematical acumen to the position. She holds a BS in Mathematics from Arcadia University and an M.Ed. in the Art of Education from Villanova University. Kitchenman has also earned her K-12 Principal Certificate from the Educational Leadership Program at Delaware Valley University and her K-12 Superintendent Letter from the same university.

During her time at BTSD, Kitchenman has been a leader in district data analysis, scheduling and budget management, skills that will serve her well in her new position.

"We were impressed with Amber's background and dedication throughout the interview process," Scavelli stated. "We truly value district administrators who have an educator's perspective, as they understand schools and the needs of students. We think that Amber will be an excellent addition to the Business Office and the district administrative team, and that she has a bright future in her new role."

Kitchenman's Assistant Principal position at Truman has been posted and widely advertised.  Interviews will commence shortly in order to identify an administrator to join Truman Principal Jon Craig's team for the opening of school in September.

New District Data Management Team Formed

The district has formed a new District Data Management Team under the leadership of Technology Coordinator Robert Pfau.

Katlin Foley has joined the district as the new PIMS (Pennsylvania Information Management System) Administrator. In this role, Foley is responsible for all reports and submissions from the school district for the state's reporting portal. This position will have oversight and responsibility for data preparation and state reporting across multiple departments and coordinate data entry, data maintenance, and data correction in all district information systems.

Foley came to the Bristol Township School District from the Morrisville School District, where she served in a similar position.

Elizabeth Monaghan, currently the Payroll Specialist for the district, will join Pfau's team as Data Specialist. In this role, Monaghan is responsible for the maintenance and administration of the district’s critical data systems including the student information system (Infinite campus).

"With so much emphasis being placed on effective reporting, data management and accountability by state and federal authorities, the effective cultivation of data is very important," Pfau stated. "We are excited to welcome Katlin and Liz to their new roles and believe they will do great work for the school community."
