Fifth grade students in Bristol Township School District, Isabella Giranda, Maci Newsham-Tinsley, Emily White and Rosalynn Leighton, plus a student from Bristol Borough, earned the highest award a Junior Girl Scout can earn, the Bronze award. This is a community service award, requiring 20 plus hours of planning and service.

The Junior Girls Scouts of Troop 2151 in Yardley have been working towards the award since spring of 2023. They decided they wanted to help women who had just become newborn mothers feel seen, taken care of and deserving of self-love at a difficult time. They collected items from the local community, including from Bristol Township School District, and created more than 25 baskets for new mothers at the Birthing Center at Capital Health in Hopewell, NJ. They delivered the baskets, along with hundreds of diapers and wipes, just before Mother’s Day.
