Theodore "Ted" Beatty was approved by the Board of Directors as a new Assistant Principal at Truman High School.
Beatty replaces Amber Kitchenman, who moved to the position of Assistant Business Manager for the school district.
Beatty brings a wealth of experience to his position and the Bristol Township School District. He began his career as a social studies educator in Philadelphia teaching courses ranging from Advanced Placement offerings to the inclusion setting before eventually moving to a role as a Lead Teacher. For the past six years, Beatty has served as an Assistant Principal at Cherry Hill East High School where he was the building coordinator of technology and communication within the community in addition to a number of other roles.
Beatty has been a leader in professional development and a positive shaper of school culture and climate during his many years in education. He has extensive experience in school-based strategic planning, curriculum design and the development of effective instructional practices.
Beatty is a 2006 graduate of Truman High School, where he was a student-athlete, and went on to earn a dual-major Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and History from Roger Williams University. Beatty then earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and his administrative certificates from St. Joseph's University.
“I am excited to return to Truman and pay it forward to the community that made me into the person I am today,” said Beatty. “I strive to ensure that all students at our school have a positive and safe space to reach their fullest potential.”
